These homeowners had an open deck in their backyard, where they loved to spend time in summers, but they also wanted a location inside their home to enjoy the sunshine and feel connected to the outdoors -- without having to be at the mercy of the cold, the rain, and the bugs.
After extensive conversation with our design team, and exploring various options and possibilities, the decision was made to create a south-facing 3-season space connected to the home, suitable for almost any weather condition, and sized for relaxation and small gatherings.
The gas stove (which adds both heat and atmosphere), Eze-Breeze vinyl porch windows, attached upper-level deck, and hallway connection from the living room, all ended up being the perfect combination to create the indoor/outdoor living space the homeowners dreamed of.
The couple is now able to enjoy their backyard more often, admire the beautiful fall colors near the warmth of the stove, and sit and read a book engulfed in the trees while feeling the breeze - but without having to wear sunscreen. Sheer perfection!
