Residential Design Specialist

If you are answering “Yes!” to these questions, apply for this position to be our new Residential Design Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Be driven and passionate about helping people improve the beauty and livability of their homes.
  • Have worked in residential designer, residential architecture, product specification, or building designer for at least 5 years. Work specifically in residential remodeling is a plus.
  • Have formal training as a building or interior designer or architect (associates or bachelor degree) or equivalent real-world experience in residential design.
  • Have a design portfolio which demonstrates your ability to think creatively and practically about design challenges.
  • Be proficient and comfortable with office computer technology.
  • Have training in CAD both 2D and 3D. (Chief Architect, Vectorworks, SketchUp, etc)
  • Be ready to work in a team-driven, collaborative design environment.
  • Have excellent communication and follow up skills.
  • Love the details.
  • Have reliable transportation.

Key Activities – to succeed in this position be ready to:

  • Lead homeowners from vision through concept to reality in remodeling their homes.
  • Redesign the layout of homes and complete space planning
  • Create new kitchen designs and specifications
  • Guide owners through selection of fixtures and final decorative features for residential remodeling projects
  • Create as-built drawings for homes
  • Create elevations to represent final finish details
  • Prepare documents for client presentations
  • Participate in assembling budgets and bids.
  • Management of final specifications in online client portal
  • Purchase, verify and ensure timely delivery of final selections to job site

  • Pay: $70,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
